Previous works reported the prevalence of high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) among
women in China.

In men having sex with men (MSM) and transgender women (TGW), two key population
at high risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and anal cancer,

screening for anal HPV infection is barely performed in South-East Asia due to cost
and availability of testing. Even though hrHPV detection is not relevant for screening
of anal lesions, epidemiology of anal HPV infection is necessary to help, support
and assess the implementation of HPV-vaccination programs, especially in highly exposed
populations and in low and middle-income countries. In this study, we investigated
the prevalence of anal (hr)HPV among asymptomatic MSM and TGW community in Phnom Penh
