In the recent review article by McKean et al. we agree with his conclusion ‘the guidelines
give a comprehensive overview of the research surrounding the different aspects of
community acquired pneumonia (CAP) from which they derive their findings’.

However, there is no comment on the absence of studies assessing compliance to CAP
